SEASON 9 RECAP:
In what can be described as the most balanced season to date, with all 8 playoff seeds undecided going into the last week of the regular season, the North Stars came out victorious by beating the Coyotes, Nordiques and Kings. In the semi-finals and finals, the North Stars were either tied or down by one going into the third period but came out victorious. Congratulations on the well deserved win!
SEASON 9 AWARDS:
A total of 11 players averaged 3 or more points per game in the playoffs, but Stan Koudlai had a playoff run never seen in this league, collecting 17 points in 3 playoff games. To put that into perspective, he almost matched his regular season point total in only 3 games.
Other award recipients include:
- Mike Reid was the runaway winner for each the Hart and Norris Trophies (MVP & Best Defenseman)
- Bobbie Glatter won the Vezina Trophy (Best Goalie)
- Tai Do and Jacob Steinfeld were co-winners of the Selke Trophy (Best Defensive Forward)
- Imran Jafri won the MIP Award (Most Indian/Improved Player)

SEASON 10 NEWS:
Who would’ve thought a simple idea by Jeremy McIntyre, brought to life by Derrick Lee-Shanok, would lead to the creation of GTA Inline and that we’d make it to season 10? (Little known fact, the league was originally named “SMRL – Sunday Morning Rollerhockey League”). To celebrate this milestone season, each winning captain was asked to captain again where only one will have bragging rights as a 2-time winning captain. We used the winning team names and gave each jersey a refresh.
So without further delay, below are the rosters along with jersey designs. You can click on each picture to enlarge.
One final note, we want to thank everyone for making the league a success. It’s only possible because we have great people who share the same vision of what a recreational league can and should be, and contribute in whatever way they can.
Merry holidays and happy everything! See you all January 6!
